Finding the right words

Meet Holly, our new Client Director in London

When I first started my career, I had no idea what I wanted to do. Believe it or not I actually considered becoming a lawyer. That was before I realised I would only really be happy if I worked somewhere creative.

Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am. I have always had a passion for drawing, painting and making things. When I was a child, I’d write solidly for hours, cooking up elaborate tales of witches, dragons and fairies that only my mother could decipher. But I was also fascinated by the human experience and, once I’d grown up, I decided I wanted to do something that was people-focused.

I started out my career working in a design agency, where I spent my days thinking about product design, logos and packaging. Soon, I realised that it wasn’t so much the look of the brands I was interested in, as what they were saying.

After all, what’s style without the substance?

At that point I immersed myself in the world of brand language. And I haven’t looked back since.

I fell in love with the infinite number of things that words can do and express. And I’ve made it my mission to convince brands that words need to be the central focus of their strategy, not quickly scribbled out just as you’re about to launch.

That’s why I was so happy to find and join a team of kindred spirits at Reed Words. They are truly dedicated to their craft and to finding the exact right words for their clients. Words that inspire, delight and bring joy. Whether it's through seamless communication, strategic insights, or just being there when they need us, our goal is to give our clients inspiring creative work and help their brands shine.
