Hello, New York!
Mike ReedToday we open the doors to our third office – this time in the Flatiron District of New York.
A US office has been on the cards for a while now. We’ve been working in the States for years, and these days at least half our work comes from there.
Our long list of US clients includes Bluebeam, Global Payments, Sesame Workshop, Thimble, the University of California, and Zoox. (As well as some we’re not allowed to reveal publicly.)
So we know the opportunities are there. In fact, one of the world’s biggest names in tech (or indeed anything else) recently reached out to us from California saying, “We can’t find anyone else who can do what you do.”
Our new US office will help us seize those opportunities. Just as importantly, it’ll enhance our service for existing American clients.
As well as logistical and admin benefits, a US presence means we can build an American writing team to work even more closely with our clients there. And we’re so excited about how the teams on both sides of the Atlantic will enrich and inspire each other’s work.
Introducing Kiki
Inevitably, COVID delayed this move somewhat, but there’s a major silver lining. Thanks to those delays, the moment we started looking for someone to lead the New York office was also the moment Kiki Saxon decided it was time for her next big challenge. Thanks, synchronicity.
Kiki joins us after more than six successful years with our friends at Vault 49, most recently as Group Account Director. (They’re still our friends, by the way – it wasn’t like that.) Altogether, she brings us over 15 years’ experience in design and branding, and an irrepressible enthusiasm for our work. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Kiki on board.
Thank you, Applied
Lastly, we need to offer a huge public thank-you to our friends at Applied Design Works.
As well as sharing their space with us while we get our business on its feet, they’ve been over-and-above helpful with advice on the extraordinary amounts of red tape required to do just about anything in the United States. We couldn’t be more grateful.
Growing fast
We’ve built a wonderful foundation of relationships in the US. And we have big plans for the months and years ahead.
So please get in touch if you’d like to discuss opportunities or ideas – or indeed if you’d like to join the team. We’re looking for an experienced, strategically-minded American brand writer to help us take things forward in the US.
Thanks to all our clients and friends in the US for their support – we’ll be coming over to see you just as soon as we’re allowed!
